The spinal column is made up of a series of bones that are connected to each other.

The spine has three parts. Which is from the neck to the lower back which is known by the following name.

Neck: Cervical Spine
Chest: Thoracic Spine
Lower Back: Lumbar Spine
There are 7 bones in the Cervical Spine from top to bottom, 12 bones in the Thoracic Spine, and 5 bones in the Lumbar Spine. These are all cushioned by a disk.
